White wine

Image
I'm learning to love white wines as well. Our friend asked us to buy this bottle and I agree that this was a good choice. Although a bit pricey, pinot grigio proved to be a good match to our favorite red, temparanillo (La planta). It was actually better with cheese and equally smooth. I'll still be sticking to my red wine but at least the next time I'm served white wine, I won't be pessimistic about it anymore. I've even observed that more avid wine drinkers nowadays prefer white wine. I'm still not sure why or if it shows more sophistication. But when it comes to drinking wine, what's always important for me is that I truly love the experience and not because I'm being sociable. By the way, I got the bottle at my favorite Wine depot.

Tai Chi

I remember my trip in Macau several years ago and how I observed old people filling the parks in the morning doing martial arts.  Well, not that I feel as old, but I find myself loving the same exercise.  Its more of a breathing exercise and its not as easy as it looks.  Now I understand why those old people look stronger than the lolos and lolas here at home.  Even as young I am now, doing Tai Chi exercises make me feel so much better. I started doing Tai Chi in Fitness First after reading ChiRunning. Although its the first class on a Saturday morning (very fit for the old ones really), I now make it a point to drag myself out of bed.  Funny, our trainer is the youngest one in class, but the rest is older than me.  Makes me feel younger as well.  So one of my "Love" now is this new exercise.  Hope others discover it as well.  I've tried Pilates, Yoga and all are really great forms but I think the centuries old Tai Chi brings a sense of E...

Falling in Love with Spinning Class again

I suppose I should be writing how I was starting to fall in love with running which was true 2 months ago. But throughout that period, I never thought of writing so I guess I missed the chance to express that feeling through this blog. Well, I started my spinning class this year again as a workout for my Marathon targets this year. Now that I've been missing my chances to join marathons, I'm just relieved I still get that adrenaline rush in my new spinning class. My spinning classes now are rescuing me from the temptation of just lazing around and worse, gaining more pounds. I guess it also brings back memories of the years before I got married when I lost a lot of weight from it. It was also my chance to immerse myself and just forget all my worries as I am doing now.
